Discussing Returns at Deliver 2020 (Online Event)

The rising popularity of e-commerce will surely dominate discussions. The global response to the Coronavirus pandemic has resulted in consumers relying more heavily on online shopping than ever before, as a result of national or regional lockdown measures. This has seen e-commerce witness an upswing in use throughout 2020 so far. Naturally, consumer returns have been a vital component in these e-commerce operations. With many customers not able to shop in-person, they are only seeing products for the first time once they’ve been delivered. Just as the home has become the new fitting room for fashion and apparel items.
With around 1/4 of all online purchases ending as returns, the recent rise in return volumes is a reflection of increased online spending. That’s why it’s important for brands and retailers to secure a returns process that not only can keep up with increased demand but which also suits their overall e-commerce environment.
